About the Founders
“We are hopeful that Morris & Mae can become a gathering place for locals and visitors alike. Just a stop along the highway of life, to settle in and enjoy good food and good company.”
Morris & Mae Market, a food hall, bar, and artisan market, is the latest adventure of Jen Thoemke. Jen and her husband Dan have invested in the betterment of Golden through various business ventures. They are Colorado natives, high school sweethearts, GHS alumni, parents to four adult children, and grandparents to four: Brooks Morris, Emersyn Mae, Bennett James, and Owen Wells.
In 2015, they opened Connects Workspace and founded DT Construct. They purchased Cafe 13 in 2018 and they purchased Gold Mine Cupcakes in 2021. Their passion is to bring people together through food and community.
